Welcome friends, to the most important page on the HoA Site. It is here that we recognize those people that have given us inspiration, support, and most importantly, their time. The HoA realizes that people are our most valuable resource, and knowing that, we wish to thank the following individuals and organizations that have contributed to the creation and success of the Heralds of the Awakening.
The HoA began as a rough idea scratched out on paper. Back then, it seemed we would never be able to see our vision come to light. There were people who were (and still are) key to the creation of our project. People that lent their wisdom and support. People that without which, we would really not exist. Read on my friends, and know that this list holds the names of some of the finest human beings in the realm.
The Web Tome
Many, many thanks to the famed Brimstone of LOA for creating such an attractive site design. He allowed us to take a bit of his skill and creativity, and for that we are eternally thankful. In addition, thanks go to GreyPawn, Rosco Evans and Ce'Nedra Willow for their patience while being barraged with a thousand questions about the specifics of web tome design.
The Oracles and Sages
People come and go in this realm, but all those who have joined the HoA, even for a short time, added to the diversity of idea and opinion that is the HoA. Our Oracles and Sages made this possible, with their belief in our vision, and the blessing of their unique take on the task at hand. All of these people, (in no particular order) Azrielle Aeirs, Dayel Stormcrow, Trank, Grimrick, Rainbow King, Porthos, Jaymes, GreyPawn, Jackdeth, Windlord, Will Ghostal, Erthane, Keeshi, Gromph, Inia Geoffrensis, Wildboy, Wren Hapswill, Gub-Gub, Callisto Gabriel, Zappa, Jander Starym, Jared Farstrider, Windlord, Enyao, Lilyth Noir, Larz, Umbra Moonstone, William Smit IV, Nai Asonod, Gailan, Richard, Emilian, Oberon, Verity Jerison, Analieza, Narrisse, Kain Elderan, Skylar, Thorin, Molly Teach, Kronos and Jenna all contributed to this body of work. Each of these people deserve the pride that comes with a job well done. In actuality, pages and pages could be filled with accolades and kudos for these wonderful people.
The Bad Guys
The inspiration for the HoA came from interaction with the Order of the Ebon Skull. When it comes to role playing, and even more so, role playing evil, there are none better. Azalin, Bal-Anon Dac, Victen, Gath of Baal, Lucus and many more added to the urgency IC, and the inspiration OOC to create the HoA. Add to that creative (evil?) genius the likes of Dark General Navrip Fremech, The Cult of Infernal Necromancy, and so many others, and you have an enemy of Light worthy of the title.
Azrielle Aeirs
Azrielle was one of the first people to see this idea, and one of the first to provide her full support. What you see in these pages is due, in large part, to our late night ramblings. She has added depth to this process and a thoughtfulness that assured we were on the right track.
The Rainbow King
RK was another person who helped structure all that you see here. He also contributed to the philosophical foundation that makes up the Heralds of the Awakening. Countless hours spent editing, and sharing information, many late night talks in the back of the Serpent Cross Tavern, and the ability to question things that others might overlook...all these things contributed to the sound footing we have now.
Dayel Stormcrow
Dayel was one of the first people outside of ‘the triad’ to see the rough outline, and he supported it from the beginning. I do not exaggerate when I say Dayel was the catalyst for the HoA. He connected us with liked minded people, and his praise and guidance was proof that we had stumbled on to a truly unique and beneficial idea. Although it took forever to rope him in to taking a position (we knew we would get you Dayel), he has continued to guide and assist us in many different ways.
Ce’Nedra Willow
Ce’Nedra is a wealth of information. Her knowledge and work with Town Councils allowed us a real structure to work with, removing much of the mystery around those structures. With her assistance, we were able to connect with people who could help us fine tune our Ultima lore, and gave us the contacts to expand our project. From assisting with the colors of the virtues, to simple words of encouragement, Ce’Nedra has been a true blessing, and deserves many thanks.
Zym Dragon
Zym is one of the founders of the player run city of Rivendell. He opened his doors to our organization, allowing us access to his city and his heart. His ideas and support have contributed to our success in many ways. We thank him for his patience and generosity.
Ultima Dragons
A fascinating organization, they provided us with information on everything Ultima. Without access to their extensive libraries, we would have information lacking quality and accuracy. A true resource to the UO community, we would be remiss in not recognizing them as the incredible resource that they are.
