Guild Organization Effort Underway

After speaking with a number of guildmates, it has been brought to my attention that some of our members are feeling a bit disconnected from newer guildmates. Outside of coordinating a meeting of those people holding a position of leadership, we will be enacting several different things to improve guild communication.

1.Website Redesign
Rosco is working on a new page that will allow us to completely change the way we update the site. This will include an easily accessed guild roster page with an updated member list. It will have many new features that will serve our guild well, as the current page is very difficult to manage in its current form. Any ideas or requests should be shared on the message board.

2. Collection of Guildmate Information
Every Guildmate and Initiate will share a primary e-mail and ICQ that will go into a secure database. This databse will be accessed by members to collect information they need to be in contact with other guildmates.

3. Encouraging the Use of IRC
Everyone in the guild will be asked to download an IRC client and utilize our channel on the stratics server. You can join us anytime by going to irc.stratics.com and joining #SST. Some of you may be resistant to the idea, but IRC is one of the fastest, best ways to connect with your guildmates online. Whenever I am online, I am in that channel, even if I am not in game. Anyone with questions about IRC can contact both Enyao and I for assistance.

4.Regular Meeting Schedule
Sic Semper Tyrannis will host regular weekly meetings in an effort to foster communication and build relationships in our guild. The meetings will be different than past meetings, as different people will be asked to lead them. Those who hold, or will hold, leadership positions in the guild will be asked to submit a report to the members, with the minutes being posted on the message board for all to see and respond to.
